A collision led to Academia Santista CIMZ getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Diego de Medeiros hit a great ball. The Academia Santista CIMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sydney FC were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorginho de Lima made a kick off. Florian Guderian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartolomeo Heinlein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bartolomeo Heinlein really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thorben Rittmann got free with Arthur Sergipano in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Arthur Sergipano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Pierre Möhn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sydney FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pierre Möhn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bartolomeo Heinlein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Arthur Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Don Küttner hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Diego de Medeiros hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the match was over Sydney FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Academia Santista CIMZ throughout the match.
