After 8 played minutes Bahía é Carnaval got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Tavio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Rosalio in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Savion saved Bahía é Carnaval from getting behind. When Francisco Orlo fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bahía é Carnaval's protests and gave Francisco Orlo a yellow card for diving instead. Genaro Hernandez took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon Tancredo. Armando Rosalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Reynaldo Savion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Armando Rosalio made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bahía é Carnaval's Reynaldo Savion tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 35 minutes of play, Bahía é Carnaval's Genaro Hernandez made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramon Tancredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mercado Paulista F.C's Diego Vargas couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bahía é Carnaval. Rigoberto Fe hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Rosalio got free with Reynaldo Savion in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

57 minutes into the game, Bahía é Carnaval's Francisco Orlo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramon Tancredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Reynaldo Savion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Rosalio in the 61st minute of play. Reynaldo Savion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Rosalio in the 79th minute of the match. Reynaldo Savion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Rosalio, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The supporters of Mercado Paulista F.C booed when Bahía é Carnaval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Fe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Bahía é Carnaval players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
