Arthur Sergipano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Márcio Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 18th minute, Nildo de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-3 became the score in the 21st minute when Gelu Tăzlăuanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gelu Tăzlăuanu in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arthur Sergipano saved Academia Santista CIMZ from getting behind. Arthur Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Bungescu in the 29th minute of the match. When Armando Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Santista CIMZ's protests and gave Armando Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Barreto to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Cipriano Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Tăzlăuanu came free, but Arthur Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gelu Tăzlăuanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mugur Braru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arthur Sergipano came out and tried to block the shot, but Mugur Braru slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 68th minute. Pedrinho Gol kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Arthur Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Tăzlăuanu in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute of the match Rasnita got a corner. Academia Santista CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vali Ionaș ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Rasnita's Vali Ionaș to fire away a dangerous shot which Arthur Sergipano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Academia Santista CIMZ's Arthur Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Santista CIMZ from getting a goal against them. Arthur Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Tăzlăuanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionuț Costache got free with Arthur Sergipano in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Gelu Tăzlăuanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arthur Sergipano. That made the score 0-8 in the 92 minute of play. When the match was over Rasnita could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Academia Santista CIMZ throughout the match.
