Antoni Huk's late challenge caught a Motta Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalu Uche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Edvaldo dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motta Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Socjopaci the free kick. After 55 played minutes Motta Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo dos Santos. 57 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Kalu Uche came free, but Artur Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Socjopaci's Kalu Uche managed to work through Motta Futebol Clube's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal.
