In the 3rd minute, Ronald Maeijnarts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Toninho Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glenn Roggen having to interfere. After 15 minutes of play, Motta Futebol Clube's Toninho Ceresso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glenn Roggen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Glenn Roggen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ulan Bator Football Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Vítor de Lara was slow to take the kick. During this time Motta Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. Glenn Roggen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 34th minute Dolf De Messemaecker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaká Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glenn Roggen having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Ulan Bator Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Van Meensel to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toninho Ceresso in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glenn Roggen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ulan Bator Football Club's Glenn Roggen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Ceresso in the 56th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Ulan Bator Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Joonatan Van Hallebeecke. Motta Futebol Clube's João Vítor de Lara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ulan Bator Football Club. After 62 played minutes Ulan Bator Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Timothy De Raeijmaeker. Glenn Roggen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor de Lara in the 63rd minute of the match. Artur Chaves was a little too slow when Ronald Maeijnarts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-2. Artur Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Maeijnarts, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Dolf De Messemaecker hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The Motta Futebol Clube manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ulan Bator Football Club to win.
