He walked away shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Amadeu Pombal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo José Rodrigues. Queluzito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeu Pombal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton de Amaral in the 21st minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Lima in the 22nd minute of play. Zeca Donatello hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Lima in the 29th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aírton de Amaral in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúl de Amaral saved Mestre GG from getting behind. In the 36th minute, Fiori Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 played minutes Queluzito got a freekick which was hit by Jano Mineiro. Dé Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Rodrigues having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nando Lima made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Queluzito's Nando Lima ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raúl de Amaral. Raúl de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 54th match minute, Queluzito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. Queluzito's Felippe Fonseca was substituted for Jano Mineiro. In the 57th minute, Célio Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúl de Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aírton de Amaral in the 59th minute. If Percy Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raúl de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Aírton de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Queluzito booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aírton de Amaral in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raúl de Amaral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
