The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 7th minute, Maurice Haydon made a precise shot to the right of Hector Toli. LEBRON's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. With a little luck, Ágætis Byrjun's Serge Buring got control of the ball when Marcial Teofilio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 16 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Bertus Wagemakers. 21 minutes into the match, Maurice Haydon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Toli. LEBRON's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurice Haydon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. LEBRON's Hector Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerrie Kuijsten in the 24th minute of play. Hector Toli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Haydon, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. LEBRON's Candido Eztebe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Serge Buring in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerrie Kuijsten in the 35th minute of play forced LEBRON's goalkeeper Hector Toli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Toli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurice Haydon went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After 43 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Bertus Wagemakers. In the 47th minute, Elpidio Matai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Marcial Teofilio made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ágætis Byrjun getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bertus Wagemakers hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, LEBRON's Elpidio Matai got a free kick in the 54th minute. Gerrie Kuijsten scored 0-5 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Toli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ágætis Byrjun's Serge Buring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Teofilio in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, LEBRON's Júlio Soler seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Júlio Soler the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of LEBRON protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Júlio Soler had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. LEBRON's Hector Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerrie Kuijsten in the 71st minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Maurice Haydon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LEBRON's Hector Toli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Marcial Teofilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Candido Eztebe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Serge Buring. Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerrie Kuijsten got free with Hector Toli in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, LEBRON's Candido Eztebe got a free kick in the 97th minute. 98 minutes into the match, LEBRON's goalkeeper Hector Toli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerrie Kuijsten. When the match was over Ágætis Byrjun could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LEBRON throughout the match.
