The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Senad Or made a kick off. Matías Quirino made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Sven-Olof Åkesson sent off a good shot on target. Matías Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Sjöström in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Matanza and Steelers booed when NIKE Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Hammarbäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Indiana Jones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Åke Eliasson having to interfere. With 63 minutes on the clock, Ivo Salgado commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Matanza and Steelers getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ivo Salgado hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, NIKE Academy's Artem Mamaev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matías Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sven-Olof Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven-Olof Åkesson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Matías Quirino made a huge save. Matías Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Sjöström in the 79th minute of play.
