The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fedele Nardi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Niva in the 2nd minute of play. In the 4th match minute, MARTINETA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Acuña to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 7 in the game by Ennio Pizzi from a close distance when the talented Silvestre Bertin managed to make a qualified save. MARTINETA's players were relieved. 10 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goal looked a bit too open when Ennio Pizzi came free, but Silvestre Bertin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Comunardo Rullo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of MARTINETA's Silvestre Bertin. Silvestre Bertin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fedele Nardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Niva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Beppe Rivera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvestre Bertin. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Ceandro in the 45th minute of play forced Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Fedele Nardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardino Niva to make the kick off. Angelo Marchegiani kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Abel Gabino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fedele Nardi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Silvestre Bertin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Rullo in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Rullo came free, but Silvestre Bertin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Tabacco during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MARTINETA booed when Gladiator FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Tabacco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Comunardo Rullo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Silvestre Bertin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Comunardo Rullo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Bertin having to interfere. After 83 played minutes MARTINETA got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Pezzella. MARTINETA's Silvestre Bertin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Rivera in the 86th minute of play. Comunardo Rullo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Bertin having to interfere. Bernardino Niva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Fedele Nardi made a huge save. Bernardino Nivas short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Fedele Nardi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gladiator FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
