Sarmiento de Resistencia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Lothlorien the free kick. Benigno Manilan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Vulcănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rodolfo Mambru fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento de Resistencia's protests and gave Rodolfo Mambru a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Mambru kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fc Lothlorien fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! 29 minutes into the game, Tudor Vulcănescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benigno Manilan. Tudor Vulcănescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Basilio Mateus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Dudău having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Mihnea Marica threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Rodolfo Mambru quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florencio Aureo during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benigno Manilan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Vulcănescu in the 39th minute of play. Siro Elazar scored 1-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Dudău, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marian Dudău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Elazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Siro Elazar to make the kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fc Lothlorien's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Leguizamón was slow to take the kick. During this time Sarmiento de Resistencia's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sarmiento de Resistencia's corner Basilio Mateus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marian Dudău quite easily take care of the ball. In the 65th minute, Gheorghe Bârza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Tudor Vulcănescu came free, but Benigno Manilan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Vulcănescu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Manilan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Marian Dudău managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Sarmiento de Resistencia's Siro Elazar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Sarmiento de Resistencia booed when Fc Lothlorien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zglimbea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihnea Marica made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sarmiento de Resistencia's Rodolfo Mambru. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fc Lothlorien's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rodolfo Mambru hit a great ball. The Fc Lothlorien manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Sarmiento de Resistencia to win.
