Várdomb's Vilmos Balázs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Răducioiu in the 9th minute of play. Vilmos Balázs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Bărboianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Viola Invest's Martin Bilașco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vilmos Balázs in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 16 minutes, Lajos Bodnár mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Várdomb and the Viola Invest players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Várdomb fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Várdomb's Vilmos Balázs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Răducioiu in the 23rd minute of play. David Şneapotă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Gyarmati in the 26th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Gelu Covaci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viola Invest and the Várdomb players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gelu Covaci kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Vilmos Balázs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nae Bărboianu went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the game, Martin Bilașco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viola Invest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várdomb the free kick. After 41 played minutes Viola Invest got a freekick which was hit by Martin Bilașco. Várdomb's Henrik Gyarmati got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nae Bărboianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Nae Bărboianu made the kick off in the second half. Vilmos Balázs made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Florin Răducioiu sent off a good shot on target. During the 56th minute of the match Lajos Bodnár completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lajos Bodnár a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 56th minute, Lajos Bodnár hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Várdomb getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Lajos Bodnár hit a great ball. Nae Bărboianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Vilmos Balázs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, István Balogh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Şneapotă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elemér Pálffy in the 71st minute of the match. Viola Invest's Gelu Covaci got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Gelu Covaci off the ground. After 72 played minutes Viola Invest got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Covaci. Botond Bodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Şneapotă having to interfere. After some careless play in the Viola Invest defense, Botond Bodor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Şneapotă. The Viola Invest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Şneapotă should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Teodoreanu got free with Vilmos Balázs in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 88 minutes, George Teodoreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viola Invest's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Teodoreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
