Connie Carpenter helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sundborn IF booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Connie Carpenter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Ahlén's late challenge caught a Varennes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Ahlén helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Joel Ahlén got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Dag Häll's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugene Levine was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Brenton Carrasco made a precise shot to the right of Fritz Lindqvist. Sundborn IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Varennes's Eugene Levine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Wenerdahl in the 64th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rudy Cherry kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fritz Lindqvist. That made the score 0-5 in the 84 minute of play. Fritz Lindqvist didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Varennes's Gale Laliberté shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-6 in the ordered_time% minute.
