An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodore Randle in the 8th minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Cesario Pedulles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Cordarryl Baltuile hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Thomas Cormier took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cesario Pedulles to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Inmortales FC's Thomas Cormier got a free kick in the 21st minute. Cristopher Herndon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Yanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 25 played minutes Inmortales FC got a freekick which was hit by A.J. Whalen. Gaspar Yanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristopher Herndon having to interfere. Cristopher Herndon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliveiro Sibila in the 43rd minute of play. Rayman Moixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Inmortales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rayman Moixi came free, but Cristopher Herndon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliveiro Sibila to make the kick off. Cristopher Herndon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliveiro Sibila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliveiro Sibila succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Larry Colby hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes, Narciso Mattei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Grau Piura and the Inmortales FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Atlético Grau Piura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Mattei to maneuver through the defense. When Thomas Cormier came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Inmortales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Cormier couldn't finish the play. Cesario Pedulles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Cormier in the 70th minute of play. In the 77th minute of the match, Oliveiro Sibila tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cristopher Herndon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Atlético Grau Piura's Narciso Mattei got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute, Thomas Cormier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edward Olsen hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Rayman Moixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Grau Piura's Cesario Pedulles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodore Randle in the 90th minute of play. Cesario Pedulles came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Inmortales FC's Theodore Randle. But to his dismay, Theodore Randle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Atlético Grau Piura were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
