After 3 played minutes Canarinho Atordoado got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Favoretto. Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Michael Baba Brundin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luís Gustavo Souza but with some difficulty. John Brandt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 played minutes Canarinho Atordoado got a freekick which was hit by Elói Azevedo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mats-Olof Rubarth in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Gustavo Souza saved Canarinho Atordoado from getting behind. In the 22nd minute Evaristo Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Brandt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Evaristo Favoretto came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Canarinho Atordoado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Favoretto couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 minutes, Claudinei do Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canarinho Atordoado and the Elmtaryd Agunnaryd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Elmtaryd Agunnaryd booed when Canarinho Atordoado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Mats-Olof Rubarth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Brandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Luz in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mats-Olof Rubarth to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Hellqvist to maneuver through the defense. Elói Azevedo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Carl Larsson was substituted for Ove Björck. In the 59th match minute, Canarinho Atordoado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Ekström in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ian Ekström took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Gustavo Souza. Luís Gustavo Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Luís Gustavo Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 74 played minutes Canarinho Atordoado got a freekick which was hit by Elói Azevedo. In the 80th minute, Mats-Olof Rubarth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Gustavo Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some careless play in the Canarinho Atordoado defense, Herman Falkrantz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo Souza. The Canarinho Atordoado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Gustavo Souza should have stopped the shot. César Travassos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Larsson in the 91st minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Canarinho Atordoado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel.
