With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilton Netto in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egil Åkerman saved North Pole Kickers from getting behind. Gino Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Egil Åkerman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Abud in the 6th minute of play forced North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Egil Åkerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by North Pole Kickers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Conrado Paraibano was slow to take the kick. During this time DENVER™'s players had a chance to rest. If Guilherme Abud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in DENVER™'s zone, Holger Wallengren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim Bastos came out of the goal and Holger Wallengren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. DENVER™'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Conrado Paraibano in the 25th minute. DENVER™'s Conrado Paraibano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Egil Åkerman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Egil Åkerman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Passos in the 27th minute of the match. Egil Åkerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Guilherme Abud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egil Åkerman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. North Pole Kickers's Egil Åkerman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Araújo in the 35th minute of play. Egil Åkerman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nilmar Freitas went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luís Eduardo Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Márcio Guedes replaced Nilton Netto. 66 minutes into the game, one of North Pole Kickers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, DENVER™'s Cleithon Minuhin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Egil Åkerman. Egil Åkerman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guilherme Abud's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Egil Åkerman made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Guilherme Abud sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, DENVER™'s Gino Carneiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Egil Åkerman. Egil Åkerman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 97thth minute of the game Waldir Romero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but North Pole Kickers's Egil Åkerman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DENVER™ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
