GD JULIO DINIS's Sérgio Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Magalhães in the 4th minute of play. In the 16th minute, GD JULIO DINIS's Higino Abreu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Higino Abreu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GD JULIO DINIS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Higino Abreu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in GD JULIO DINIS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! GD JULIO DINIS's Sérgio Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Magalhães in the 19th minute of play. Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Queirós in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, GD JULIO DINIS's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Queirós came free, but Sérgio Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Passos came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferreira Lopes MZC's Paulo Queirós. But to his dismay, Paulo Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Pascoal Braga fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GD JULIO DINIS's protests and gave Pascoal Braga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GD JULIO DINIS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pascoal Braga hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Gustavo Gentil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Pascoal Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Norberto Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Rafinha de Senna notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of GD JULIO DINIS's Sérgio Passos. Sérgio Passos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

52 minutes into the game, Natanael Bittencourt lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Sérgio Passos. Zeferino Castilho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Paulo Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After a rather tough play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Rafinha de Senna got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of GD JULIO DINIS booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 minutes, Honorato Casado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GD JULIO DINIS and the Ferreira Lopes MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Honorato Casado hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the GD JULIO DINIS defense, Nelson Cearense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Passos. The GD JULIO DINIS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Passos should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute, Andrézinho Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Nelson Cearense's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sérgio Passos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Paulo Queirós received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sérgio Passos came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo Queirós slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Ferreira Lopes MZC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GD JULIO DINIS throughout the match.
