In the 27th match minute, Club de la Serpiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Ibon to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Club de la Serpiente's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Rayman came free, but Santo Cayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Cayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Benvido, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Honorato Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristo Cordeal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martin Sergi came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristo Cordeal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 36th minute. Alberto Mendiko took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santo Cayo. Santo Cayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Los Materos FC's Herminio Benvido dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Thanks to some nice moves Honorato Rayman could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Santo Cayo however easily saved by the left post. After 57 played minutes Club de la Serpiente got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Ibon. In the 60th minute, one of Club de la Serpiente:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club de la Serpiente. After some careless play in the Club de la Serpiente defense, Honorato Rayman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santo Cayo. The Club de la Serpiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Cayo should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Rafael Cordero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club de la Serpiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Materos FC the free kick. Rafael Cordero kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Club de la Serpiente defense, Honorato Rayman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santo Cayo. The Club de la Serpiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Cayo should have stopped the shot.
