The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Doffes Damer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wargön the free kick. The supporters of Wargön booed when Doffes Damer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Mellbad didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Doffes Damer's Bengt-Åke Kleen got control of the ball when Bengt-Rune Törnkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Allan Ekgren was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. Bengt-Åke Kleen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Wargön getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sigvard Wallander hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Stig-Arne Ekblom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bengt-Åke Kleen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Benjamin Persson charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Persson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Doffes Damer's Benjamin Persson got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig-Arne Ekblom to make the kick off. Bengt-Åke Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Arne Ekblom in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Sebastian Andreasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Sigvard Wallander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Kleen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Wictor Pihlberg came free, but Bengt-Åke Kleen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Richard Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Ahlroht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Doffes Damer had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
