After 14 minutes, Telmo Zarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgrano LOS PIRATAS and the Costa Pacífico FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Camilo Quinchen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 16 minutes had been played. In the 16th match minute, Costa Pacífico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Quinchen to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Loreno Olabarriaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta got free with Sergio Livingstone in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Pacífico FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's players had a chance to rest. Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta made a great header on Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's corner, it was just that Costa Pacífico FC's Sergio Livingstone managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 31st minute, Venancio Cilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eugenio Mallorquin fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Pacífico FC's protests and gave Eugenio Mallorquin a yellow card for diving instead. Eugenio Mallorquin kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Sergio Livingstone was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. After 40 played minutes Belgrano LOS PIRATAS got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Zarra. After a rather tough play, Costa Pacífico FC's Reynaldo Risopatrón got a free kick in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta to strike the kick off in the second half. Telmo Zarra hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute Nicasio Reole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damián Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Costa Pacífico FC's protests and gave Reynaldo Risopatrón a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 minutes of play Costa Pacífico FC's Eugenio Mallorquin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Sergio Livingstone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Sergio Livingstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta in the 83rd minute of the match. But to his dismay, Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
