After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Galicia's zone, André Luiz Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Rosio came out of the goal and André Luiz Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Salgado came free, but Alberto Rosio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Pedro Augusto Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Madaleno Rio in the 8th minute of play forced Buritama Sports's goalkeeper Gilberto Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fonso Treceño, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 16 minutes, Madaleno Rio made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Buritama Sports's Gilberto Paraense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th match minute, Deportivo Galicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richie Escamilla to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Buritama Sports's Sydney Rosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Rosio. That made the score 1-1 after 19 minutes of play. Fonso Treceño ran back to his position shaking his head. Alberto Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Décio Quirino in the 27th minute of play. Décio Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Galicia's Lorenzo Montejo got a free kick in the 31st minute. Dedé Camargo struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Alberto Rosio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buritama Sports. 38 minutes into the game, Décio Quirino lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Alberto Rosio. Gilberto Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fonso Treceño in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Weather Bonet was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Fonso Treceño took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Gilberto Paraense to make any attempt to save it. 64 minutes into the match, Décio Quirino notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Deportivo Galicia's Alberto Rosio. Alberto Rosio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Rosio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Deportivo Galicia were furious when Franko Viaña was red carded, 70 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 71st match minute, Deportivo Galicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franko Viaña to maneuver through the defense. Dedé Camargo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Rosio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Jeferson Alvarenga got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute, Décio Quirino made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Rosio. Deportivo Galicia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Alberto Rosio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Salgado in the 83rd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Salgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buritama Sports's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Galicia the free kick. The supporters of Deportivo Galicia booed when Buritama Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Weather Bonet in the 91st minute of play. There was no doubt that Buritama Sports were the better team. Buritama Sports's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
