Rodolfo Lia had great luck who in the 5thth minute grab hold of the ball when Juninho Bezerra from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 10 minutes into the match, Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Hermengildo Nerio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denílson Pernambucano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Cachilo FC --OFF-- booed when Militros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Cachilo FC --OFF-- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Baumar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Militros F.C. booed when Cachilo FC --OFF-- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Nerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juninho Bezerra did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Rodolfo Lia 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Bezerra in the 22nd minute of play forced Cachilo FC --OFF--'s goalkeeper Rodolfo Lia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Juninho Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Lia was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Denílson Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Hermengildo Nerio. But to his dismay, Hermengildo Nerio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 41 played minutes Cachilo FC --OFF-- got a freekick which was hit by Santo Demesio. In the 43rd minute, Juninho Bezerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Lia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 47th minute, Benedito Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juninho Bezerra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermengildo Nerio was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Benedito Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Militros F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedito Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Roberto Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Nerio notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Militros F.C.'s Denílson Pernambucano. Denílson Pernambucano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Juninho Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82ndth minute of the game Juninho Bezerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Rodolfo Lia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Juninho Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Hermengildo Nerio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5-2 became the score in the 97th minute when Juninho Bezerra elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Militros F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
