Dadá Meira's late challenge caught a Nightmare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dadá Meira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute Izydor Teofila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Percival Quadros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Norbert Kociniewski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the game, Cavalos Cansados's Jorge da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norbert Kociniewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 18th minute Izydor Teofila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cavalos Cansados's Jerônimo Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Cavalos Cansados from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jedrzej Olchawa during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Nightmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jedrzej Olchawa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani da Mata in the 25th minute of play forced Nightmare's goalkeeper Norbert Kociniewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Olaf Magdziarz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerônimo Aguiar. The goal made the score 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olaf Magdziarz got free with Jerônimo Aguiar in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norbert Kociniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani da Mata in the 40th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 54th minute, Cavalos Cansados's Hernani da Mata dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. 59 minutes into the match, Bartosz Cwojdak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerônimo Aguiar. Cavalos Cansados's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartosz Cwojdak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Nightmare were furious when Emil Okopny was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 61 minutes into the game, one of Nightmare:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, Cavalos Cansados's Lúcio Lopes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Norbert Kociniewski. Norbert Kociniewski was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lúcio Lopes. Jerônimo Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izydor Teofila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percival Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Norbert Kociniewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cavalos Cansados supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cavalos Cansados would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
