Frank Högström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Lilywhites:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rönnöfors FF:s goal. In the 22nd minute of the match Cristiano Travaglini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Högström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Florian Musso might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Högström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florian Musso ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ture Stenman got free with Fulvio Nola in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Krister Flinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lilywhites's zone, Ture Stenman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulvio Nola came out of the goal and Ture Stenman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Lilywhites's goalkeeper Fulvio Nola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ture Stenman. After some careless play in the Rönnöfors FF defense, Cristoforo Bonfigli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Högström. The Rönnöfors FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Högström should have stopped the shot.

After having played for 55 minutes, Oskar Vennerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rönnöfors FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oskar Vennerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rönnöfors FF's Frank Högström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristoforo Bonfigli in the 62nd minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Lilywhites's goal looked a bit too open when Oskar Vennerberg came free, but Fulvio Nola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Travaglini took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Högström. Frank Högström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Florian Musso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Carulli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Högström having to interfere. Frank Pani charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Pani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lilywhites's Fulvio Nola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Vennerberg in the 88th minute of play. Fulvio Nola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Ahlgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vincent Olofsson took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulvio Nola. Fulvio Nola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The Rönnöfors FF manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lilywhites to win.
