The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emil Yashin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yaqub Aydinov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Emil Yashin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Ian Fenomeni from getting a goal against them. Yaqub Aydinov took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emil Yashin. Emil Yashin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 12 played minutes A.S. Ian Fenomeni got a freekick which was hit by Ferruccio Castronovo. 12 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Loğman Hacibabayev broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Emil Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaqub Aydinov in the 15th minute of play. Péter Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Chiappini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessio Ranieri charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alessio Ranieri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Şamaxı Bankirlər booed when A.S. Ian Fenomeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Ranieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Yashin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yaqub Aydinov in the 20th minute. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Emil Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaqub Aydinov in the 25th minute of play. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Yaqub Aydinov scored to the left of an out of position Emil Yashin, making the score, 3-0. In the 35th minute, Älibala Abayev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emil Yashin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Loğman Hacibabayev hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Hümmät Abdulxälilov kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Ferruccio Castronovo put in a rough tackle. In the 42nd minute, one of A.S. Ian Fenomeni:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.S. Ian Fenomeni.

The wind increased when Enzo Chiappini made the kick off in the second half. Mirsaad Denisov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to A.S. Ian Fenomeni getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Alessio Ranieri hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes A.S. Ian Fenomeni got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Alessandro. Hümmät Abdulxälilov kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Şamaxı Bankirlər got a freekick which was hit by Vasif Abdulazamov. Emil Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaqub Aydinov in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Loğman Hacibabayev made a precise shot to the right of Emil Yashin. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Enzo Chiappini got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Hümmät Abdulxälilov got a free kick in the 80th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Älibala Abayev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emil Yashin. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Älibala Abayev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When the referee ended the match the Şamaxı Bankirlər players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
