After a rather tough play, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Nicanor Bajuelo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Marko Valmayor seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marko Valmayor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marko Valmayor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Marko Valmayor hit a great ball. Sandalio Domingo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Cassar Overend in the 36th minute. If Nicanor Bajuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. Seraċini Għawdxin's Louis Mamo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dejan Cumbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Bajuelo in the 82nd minute of the match. Michael Cassar Overend made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Joe Petroni immediately put the ball in play. Firmin Hurones kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Joe Petroni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timothy Cini hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Dejan Cumbo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicanor Bajuelo went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.
