After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Tibalt Tanasio managed to get in a good position for a shot. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's supporters rose to their feet, but Tibalt Tanasio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Bajuelo in the 9th minute of play forced Catadão's goalkeeper Renan Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th match minute, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marko Valmayor to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Jairo do Vale in the 20th minute really tested Sandalio Domingo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Nicanor Bajuelo fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's protests and gave Nicanor Bajuelo a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Bajuelo. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Franklin Fonseca 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Tibalt Tanasio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renan Mendonça. Catadão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tibalt Tanasio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 35 minutes into the game, Jairo do Vale threw the ball into play from the sideline. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Hechter Trinidad quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tibalt Tanasio scored 2-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renan Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Catadão's Dênis Munhoz got a free kick in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrézinho Tasso was the one to do the kick off. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Firmin Hurones in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Catadão's zone, Tibalt Tanasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan Mendonça came out of the goal and Tibalt Tanasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Catadão's goalkeeper Renan Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tibalt Tanasio. With his leg Renan Mendonça managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Tibalt Tanasio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Renan Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Tibalt Tanasio sent off a good shot on target. Carlinhos Botelho hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Tibalt Tanasio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Renan Mendonça, 2-3. The supporters of Catadão booed when ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Bajuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the game, one of Catadão:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Firmin Hurones got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Renan Mendonça. Hechter Trinidad kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Marko Valmayor hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When Jairo do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Catadão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo do Vale couldn't finish the play. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Catadão's much stronger midfield.
