Tito Cifuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Oranil's goal looked a bit too open when Tito Cifuentes came free, but Juan Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Oranil booed when Picanya FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Cifuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes, Xuan Zabalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picanya FC and the Oranil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Picanya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xuan Zabalo to maneuver through the defense. Valdomiro Favoretto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmílson Catarinense got free with Petri Bravo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27thth minute of the game Tito Cifuentes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oranil's Juan Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kléber Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Petri Bravo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aitor De Toro came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Picanya FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aitor De Toro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Oranil's zone, Indar Colillas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Velloso came out of the goal and Indar Colillas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oranil's Juan Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tito Cifuentes in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Picanya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Indalecio Aznar to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmílson Catarinense to make the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Juan Velloso managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Picanya FC's Aitor De Toro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aitor De Toro took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Picanya FC's Indar Colillas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Picanya FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
