Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Pero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Ezequiel Pero fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rafael Benítez, passed just outside the right post. Racing Club were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Leon Sport Club's much stronger midfield.
