In the 3rdth minute of the game José Vítor de Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Snubbinhoz FC's Walter Nyman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Snubbinhoz FC's zone, Luisão Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Nyman came out of the goal and Luisão Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Eduardo Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Snubbinhoz FC booed when Ibirama Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Snubbinhoz FC's Bengt-Rune Blomquist couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ibirama Futebol Clube. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Luisão Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Ibirama Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Utfal came free, but Conrado Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walter Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor de Azevedo in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Vítor de Azevedo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Nyman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leo Rosendahl charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Rosendahl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Leo Rosendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisão Sabóia scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walter Nyman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Olof Utfal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Markusson's late challenge caught a Ibirama Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roland Markusson helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that José Vítor de Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walter Nyman was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. If Bengt Dahlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Nyman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisão Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Márcio Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Walter Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walter Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Sabóia in the 45th minute of play. Walter Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisão Sabóia to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Bengt Dahlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Snubbinhoz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibirama Futebol Clube the free kick. A collision led to Snubbinhoz FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bengt Dahlberg hit a great ball. 0-3 became the score in the 60th minute when José Vítor de Azevedo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, Snubbinhoz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Markusson to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Ismael Castro got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Rune Blomquist in the 66th minute of play. Walter Nyman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisão Sabóia in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agnaldo Nunes during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Snubbinhoz FC booed when Ibirama Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conrado Linares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Olof Utfal went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the match, Luisão Sabóia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Nyman. Snubbinhoz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisão Sabóia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. If Bengt Dahlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Queirós. The Snubbinhoz FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ibirama Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
