In the 4th minute Percival Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when Tierp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddie Tomasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Marcinho Dionísio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Axelsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ibirama Futebol Clube reached it. After 6 minutes of play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Percival Velloso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kjell-Arne Axelsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the game, Sixten Odén recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Conrado Linares. Sixten Odén showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Conrado Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Trillkott in the 21st minute of play. After 24 played minutes Tierp FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Smitt. Luisão Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Percival Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell-Arne Axelsson was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisão Sabóia in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjell-Arne Axelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Conrado Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sixten Odén. Kjell-Arne Axelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percival Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Velloso in the 40th minute of play forced Tierp FC's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddie Tomasson got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Tierp FC's Freddie Tomasson got a free kick in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percival Velloso in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 47th match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Erik Trillkott to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jan-Erik Trillkott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tierp FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Trillkott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luisão Sabóia hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Jan-Erik Trillkott had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Linares. Ibirama Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Erik Trillkott was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Kjell-Arne Axelsson made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Luisão Sabóia sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Castro to maneuver through the defense. Kjell-Arne Axelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisão Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 81stth minute of the game Luisão Sabóia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tierp FC's Kjell-Arne Axelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when Tierp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixten Odén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcinho Dionísio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kjell-Arne Axelsson. Tierp FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 89 played minutes Tierp FC got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Trillkott. Tierp FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Percival Velloso 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4. Percival Velloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kjell-Arne Axelsson having to make a save.
