Jacinto Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute Laerte dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LA DEL MONO's Jacinto Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Tepedino in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Valdir Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Fe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jacinto Fe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Frank Bertassi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rene Rico showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 32 minute of play. Real Cruzeiro FC's Frank Bertassi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Real Cruzeiro FC from getting a goal against them. LA DEL MONO's Jacinto Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Tepedino in the 36th minute of play. Jacinto Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Cruzeiro FC's Frank Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Lawrence in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Andrézinho Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the LA DEL MONO defense, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Fe. The LA DEL MONO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Fe should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdir Tepedino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Paul's late challenge caught a Real Cruzeiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Paul helped the player get up and apologised. Valdir Tepedino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Fe. LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Franco came free, but Frank Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Jacinto Fe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 59 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Mark. Tales Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tales Motta hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Nazário De Lima came free, but Jacinto Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of LA DEL MONO's goalie and right to Tales Motta. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. LA DEL MONO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Endrick De Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto Fe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Endrick De Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacinto Fe made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Laerte dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. Jacinto Fe came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Cruzeiro FC's Inácio Mandrak. But to his dismay, Inácio Mandrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Real Cruzeiro FC's Frank Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Dominic in the 89th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Dominic came free, but Frank Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Constantino Dominic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Frank Bertassi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdir Tepedino, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 97th minute Silverio Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silverio Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Bertassi having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Real Cruzeiro FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
