Tommie Vaes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Szél in the 7th minute of play. Viktor Sebes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommie Vaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imre Fülöp, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Silver Squad AFC's Christoffel Callewaert got a free kick in the 12th minute. Norbert Rózsa might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommie Vaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norbert Rózsa ran back to his position shaking his head. Pál Pulai charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pál Pulai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of SÉ SE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Silver Squad AFC:s goal. Imre Fülöp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Tommie Vaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Rózsa in the 24th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Silver Squad AFC got a freekick which was hit by Henri Goffeyn. When Albert Szél fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SÉ SE's protests and gave Albert Szél a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Silver Squad AFC booed when SÉ SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Szél didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Gheysen hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Squad AFC's zone, Norbert Rózsa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommie Vaes came out of the goal and Norbert Rózsa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute Gregoire Van Aertvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rómeó Kormos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Silver Squad AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SÉ SE were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Szél to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as SÉ SE's Imre Fülöp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommie Vaes. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. Tommie Vaes made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Viktor Sebes sent off a good shot on target. If Norbert Rózsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Norbert Veress kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Tommie Vaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Rózsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Tommie Vaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Sebes. Tommie Vaes was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Albert Szél capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albert Szél really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The throw-in from Álmos Gyulai in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Silver Squad AFC's Gwenn Du Sausois. Albert Szél blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommie Vaes having to make a save. When Norbert Veress fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SÉ SE's protests and gave Norbert Veress a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, SÉ SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Veress to maneuver through the defense. Silver Squad AFC's Gwenn Du Sausois quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Álmos Gyulai, made in the 88th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded SÉ SE left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Silver Squad AFC.
