In the 23rdth minute of the game Váldson de Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK Ugglan's Thor Bergqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Capibaribe Stars's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Christian Olenberg scored to the left of an out of position Gildo Maranhense, making the score, 1-0. Oscar dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Ian Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BK Ugglan's Thor Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson de Sena in the 36th minute of play. Thor Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson de Sena in the 40th minute of play forced BK Ugglan's goalkeeper Thor Bergqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Capibaribe Stars's corner Ian Koehler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thor Bergqvist quite easily take care of the ball. After 47 minutes, Ingmar Termander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Ugglan and the Capibaribe Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. Capibaribe Stars's Aílton Rocha was substituted for Oscar dos Santos. Ingmar Termander hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acácio Peres to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, BK Ugglan's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Peres came free, but Thor Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thor Bergqvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Antunes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 60 minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, BK Ugglan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dag Wallmark to maneuver through the defense. BK Ugglan's Thor Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Rocha in the 70th minute of play. Thor Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Antunes in the 73rd minute of play. If Acácio Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thor Bergqvist having to interfere. After 89 played minutes BK Ugglan got a freekick which was hit by Svante Borre. Luís Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
