After a rather tough play, GreenUnited's Macario Runs got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, PoznanGalaxy's Ivar Arbogast ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Xalbador Gamiz. Xalbador Gamiz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 13th minute Ivar Arbogast shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xalbador Gamiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Arbogast in the 20th minute of play forced GreenUnited's goalkeeper Xalbador Gamiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivar Arbogast fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalbador Gamiz having to interfere. Torsten Wehrmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Xalbador Gamiz made a huge save. Xalbador Gamiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Arbogast in the 32nd minute of play. Xalbador Gamiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torsten Wehrmann went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute Vahid Kaas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xalbador Gamiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to PoznanGalaxy getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ivar Arbogast hit a great ball. Zarbonin Sotuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Müller having to interfere. The supporters of GreenUnited booed when PoznanGalaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Klein didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, GreenUnited's Lop Ramallal tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A hard shot 62 in the game by Lop Ramallal from a close distance when the talented Andreas Müller managed to make a qualified save. PoznanGalaxy's players were relieved. 67 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's Lop Ramallal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andreas Müller narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robert Kalweit charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Kalweit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Torsten Wehrmann's late challenge caught a GreenUnited's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torsten Wehrmann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of GreenUnited booed when PoznanGalaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Wehrmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrio Mañe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Andreas Müller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torsten Wehrmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xalbador Gamiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. GreenUnited's Xalbador Gamiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Wehrmann in the 82nd minute of play. Vahid Kaas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalbador Gamiz having to interfere. GreenUnited's Macario Runs got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The PoznanGalaxy fans cheered their team off the field, for while GreenUnited had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
