Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Punta Alvear's Isidro Rojelio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Rojelio in the 7th minute of play forced Asarum's goalkeeper Michel Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Punta Alvear defense, Henrik Engström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Remigio. The Punta Alvear fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Remigio should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Remigio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Lindsten in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Gurutz in the 15th minute of play forced Asarum's goalkeeper Michel Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Epifanio Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Duset stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidro Rojelio's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The supporters of Punta Alvear booed when Asarum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Fribäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalo Santxol scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michel Duset, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michel Duset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Aureo in the 31st minute of play. Michel Duset showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Santxol, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute, Gonzalo Santxol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Punta Alvear fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Michel Duset came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Punta Alvear's Leon Gurutz. But to his dismay, Leon Gurutz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The Asarum players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Punta Alvear were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Magnus Nyberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leon Gurutz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Duset read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Michel Duset didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidro Rojelio went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Punta Alvear's Moises Rosio got a free kick in the 58th minute. Asarum's Henrik Engström got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Santxol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Michel Duset when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Michel Duset was a little too slow when Emilio Aureo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-5. Leon Gurutz came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Michel Duset could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Asarum's zone, Leon Gurutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Duset came out of the goal and Leon Gurutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bengt Jönsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute, Bengt Jönsson made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Remigio. Punta Alvear's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Rojelio in the 82nd minute of play forced Asarum's goalkeeper Michel Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Punta Alvear's Gilberto Belasko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michel Duset made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. Israel Rubio hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Isac Lindkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Punta Alvear's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
