The Intergalactic Pong FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Sergi should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Isidro Rojelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punta Alvear's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Rojelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Sergi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Isidro Rojelio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Sergi, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Intergalactic Pong FC's zone, Emilio Aureo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Sergi came out of the goal and Emilio Aureo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Santxol got free with Bernardo Sergi in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute, Punta Alvear's Isidro Rojelio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Gonzalo Santxol succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 25th playminute. 28 minutes into the match, Santo Cuarto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Remigio. Punta Alvear's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Cuarto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Intergalactic Pong FC's Bernardo Sergi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Intergalactic Pong FC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd match minute, Intergalactic Pong FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Laurentzi to maneuver through the defense. When Punta Alvear's Isidro Rojelio in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Intergalactic Pong FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Isidro Rojelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Intergalactic Pong FC's Bernardo Sergi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernardo Sergi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonzalo Santxol in the 38th minute. Adolfo Remigio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Inguma went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Intergalactic Pong FC's Bernardo Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Rojelio in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafin Pes made a kick off. Leon Gurutz took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Sergi. Bernardo Sergi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Bernardo Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Belasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Leon Gurutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Belasko hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's goalkeeper Adolfo Remigio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Celino. Bernardo Sergi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidro Rojelio went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Isidro Rojelio made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Sergi. Intergalactic Pong FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. Bernardo Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Gurutz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Gurutz in the 85th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonzalo Santxol in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Sergi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adolfo Remigio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafin Pes in the 95th minute. Gilberto Belasko hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Abelardo Celino struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Adolfo Remigio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Intergalactic Pong FC. For all the effort they put into the match, the Intergalactic Pong FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Punta Alvear.
