Anversa Club's Loid Wolfdoncx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarle Iqbal in the 15th minute of play. When Christian Bruheim fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gædd FK's protests and gave Christian Bruheim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Gædd FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Bruheim to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Gædd FK's Henrik Lillemo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loid Wolfdoncx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ludvig Hilstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Robin in the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gædd FK's Christian Bruheim got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Gino Robin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ludvig Hilstad was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Gædd FK's Ludvig Hilstad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Gædd FK from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Henrik Lillemo made the kick off in the second half.
