When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Vinicio Endira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Olov Lilja to make any attempt to save it. In the 37th minute, Bo-Erik Pedersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fågelmara IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfons Siggesson to make the kick off. Håkan Adelsköld's late challenge caught a Cavaliers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
