The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of CDU Católica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Atletico Los Andes:s goal. Zavier Galleguillos had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Danilo Abajas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Zavier Galleguillos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Benat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zavier Galleguillos came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Los Andes's Teobaldo Hodei. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Hodei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 26th match minute, Club Atletico Los Andes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Breogan to maneuver through the defense. Omar Morandé's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urbano Lorencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Blas Benat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zavier Galleguillos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Pablo Morel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Lorencio having to interfere. Omar Morandé could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Urbano Lorencio made a huge save. Zavier Galleguillos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Niva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Morandé stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Juan Pablo Morel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Benjamin Jaizki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blas Benat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Zavier Galleguillos made a huge save. Juan Pablo Morel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Lorencio having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's goalkeeper Zavier Galleguillos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kévin Zenón. Kévin Zenón scored 1-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zavier Galleguillos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute Kévin Zenón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zavier Galleguillos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zavier Galleguillos was a little too slow when Kévin Zenón got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-4. 82 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Morandé came free, but Urbano Lorencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zavier Galleguillos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kévin Zenón in the 84th minute of play. Elias Breogan took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zavier Galleguillos. Zavier Galleguillos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. 96 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Morandé came free, but Urbano Lorencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Omar Morandé cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Urbano Lorencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Atletico Los Andes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
