Ingemar Eckegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8thth minute of the game João Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polar Ice Caps's Ingemar Eckegren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When João Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the LULU TRICOLOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Nogueira couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, João Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingemar Eckegren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 18 played minutes LULU TRICOLOR got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Senna. Patrik Rosen charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrik Rosen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Rosen. After 20 played minutes, LULU TRICOLOR's Cristóvão Meireles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ingemar Eckegren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LULU TRICOLOR reached it. João Nogueira scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingemar Eckegren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ingemar Eckegren came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by LULU TRICOLOR's João Nogueira. But to his dismay, João Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Wanderson Cordeiro made a huge save. After a rather tough play, LULU TRICOLOR's João Nogueira got a free kick in the 30th minute. Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Cordeiro having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gernando Moreira was the one to do the kick off. Ingemar Eckegren was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Gernando Moreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gernando Moreira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gernando Moreira got free with Ingemar Eckegren in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Moreira came free, but Ingemar Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Ingemar Eckegren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Moreira. The supporters of LULU TRICOLOR booed when Polar Ice Caps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Tingelholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute Gernando Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Eckegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Polar Ice Caps's Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gernando Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Ingemar Eckegren made a huge save. When the match was over LULU TRICOLOR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Polar Ice Caps throughout the match.
