Albino España who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Kajetan Kossakowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Juan-Carlos Arias took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kajetan Kossakowski. Kajetan Kossakowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A very good chance. Isauro Verges's late challenge caught a Newcastle United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isauro Verges helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Pampas Team got a freekick which was hit by Isauro Verges. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When Gustaw Nuszkowski fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newcastle United's protests and gave Gustaw Nuszkowski a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pampas Team booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaw Nuszkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Albino España had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kajetan Kossakowski. Newcastle United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albino España was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Pampas Team had played much better football throughout.
