Haroldo Sanches scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vilhelm Ek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Valadares in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vilhelm Ek saved Hockeysnubbarnas BK from getting behind. After 45 played minutes Hockeysnubbarnas BK got a freekick which was hit by Hokky Stick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Hockeysnubbarnas BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of E.C 2 Janeiro RS:s goal. The goalkeeper, Vilhelm Ek, was totally fooled by E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Marco Valadares, who 52 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 57thth minute of the game Marco Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Vilhelm Ek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Carlinhos da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Lindström in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Billvall in the 60th minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Carlinhos da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hockeysnubbarnas BK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Dan Lindström hit a great ball. Nils-Åke Billvall took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlinhos da Costa. Carlinhos da Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Karl Petersson's late challenge caught a E.C 2 Janeiro RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl Petersson helped the player get up and apologised. Karl Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Pål Håkansson got a free kick in the 77th minute. A hard shot by Fellipe Rezende from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Vilhelm Ek's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 79 minutes into the game, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Nils-Åke Billvall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlinhos da Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. A collision led to Hockeysnubbarnas BK getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Måns Forsberg hit a great ball. Dan Lindström hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
