To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Topsail's goal looked a bit too open when David Medeleanu came free, but Booker Barrette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Dumitru Bogătean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Booker Barrette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rich Dominguez in the 10th minute of play forced GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavel Tăutu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Booker Barrette made a huge save. Ioan Papadima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sheldon Felton, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. David Medeleanu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Booker Barrette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Bogătean in the 22nd minute of play. Booker Barrette was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Pavel Tăutu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pavel Tăutu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rich Dominguez in the 46th minute of play forced GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Pavel Tăutu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Booker Barrette, 4-0.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Pavel Tăutu put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Booker Barrette. Ioan Papadima made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Max Milligan sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, Cornel Gabor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GoooooooooooooooooooooooL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Paul Beniuc kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Topsail's Booker Barrette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Tăutu in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Medeleanu in the 74th minute of play forced Topsail's goalkeeper Booker Barrette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabien Helton hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Cristinel Patriciu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Booker Barrette read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of GoooooooooooooooooooooooL booed when Topsail was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlton Garrett didn't get a good kick on the ball.
