The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Eduardo Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Lando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Rius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Luís Eduardo Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Júnior Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WAU team's protests and gave Júnior Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Júnior Vidal hit a great ball. Gaspar Montel lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for WAU team. Júnior Vidal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Simon Ritchie. 1-0. Luís Eduardo Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in WAU team's zone, Benedicto Abella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Eduardo Pontes came out of the goal and Benedicto Abella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Eduardo Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Lando in the 30th minute of the match. Luís Eduardo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Lando, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Pedrão Recife hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, WAU team's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Rafel came free, but Luís Eduardo Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Eduardo Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Lando in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustaquio Misael to make the kick off. The supporters of lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc booed when WAU team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Abalos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Eduardo Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Lando in the 61st minute of play. lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's Simon Ritchie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Dante in the 64th minute of play. Fausto de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Flávio Dante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WAU team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Pedrão Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Dante in the 79th minute of play forced lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's goalkeeper Simon Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto de Souza hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flávio Dante during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Many of lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc may have spent more time on the ball, but WAU team were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
