After 11 minutes, Klas Kamming mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saco FC and the Saga TF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saga TF's goalkeeper Steffen Møgster, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Klas Kamming kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Torkel Aakre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannich Brolyng was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stian Bjørkmo in the 35th minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Jannich Brolyng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carl Jøssang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Mark Jarud kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Steffen Møgster. That made the score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Stian Bjørkmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saga TF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stian Bjørkmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Saco FC defense, Carl Jøssang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jannich Brolyng. The Saco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jannich Brolyng should have stopped the shot. The Saco FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saga TF were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stian Bjørkmo was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carl Jøssang got free with Jannich Brolyng in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saga TF's Steffen Møgster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Jarud in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Saga TF defense, Villiam Slott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steffen Møgster. The Saga TF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steffen Møgster should have stopped the shot. Alexander Ismail charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Ismail the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Saga TF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alexander Ismail hit a great ball. Mark Jarud took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steffen Møgster. Steffen Møgster dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stian Bjørkmo in the 67th minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Jannich Brolyng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Saga TF got a freekick which was hit by Stian Bjørkmo.
