The tension between the FC Caspiy and the Brufoss IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Caspiy getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Denis Domeiko hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Tor-Egil Arntsen made a precise shot to the right of Martyn Baiseitov. FC Caspiy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Kenneth Foldnes took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martyn Baiseitov. Martyn Baiseitov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Arkhip Repin hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Timur Grek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olav Øverby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes Brufoss IL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vladimir Bogdanov who took care of the corner kick. FC Caspiy's Vladimir Bogdanov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olav Øverby in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 23 minutes, Tor-Egil Arntsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brufoss IL and the FC Caspiy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Konstantin Yakin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Stian Steen notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Caspiy's Martyn Baiseitov. Martyn Baiseitov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jon-Egil Grønli's late challenge caught a FC Caspiy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jon-Egil Grønli helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Arkhip Repin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Caspiy defense, Bastian Ytterstad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martyn Baiseitov. The FC Caspiy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martyn Baiseitov should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timur Grek in the 43rd minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Olav Øverby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, FC Caspiy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klim Muravev to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the game, Kenneth Foldnes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Martyn Baiseitov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Boris Nekrasov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 minutes, Arild Reppen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brufoss IL and the FC Caspiy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the FC Caspiy defense, Bastian Ytterstad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martyn Baiseitov. The FC Caspiy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martyn Baiseitov should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenneth Foldnes got free with Martyn Baiseitov in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66thth minute of the game Timur Grek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brufoss IL's Olav Øverby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bastian Ytterstad fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brufoss IL's protests and gave Bastian Ytterstad a yellow card for diving instead. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Leif Mæhlum replaced Preben Halden. After 69 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Bastian Ytterstad. In the 69th minute of the match Vladimir Bogdanov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olav Øverby showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 75th match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tore Fagermo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Timur Grek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olav Øverby came out of the goal and Timur Grek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, FC Caspiy's goal looked a bit too open when Tor-Egil Arntsen came free, but Martyn Baiseitov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Arkhip Repin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 84th minute of the match Jon-Egil Grønli completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jon-Egil Grønli a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. With a little luck, FC Caspiy's Martyn Baiseitov got control of the ball when Bastian Ytterstad tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Kenneth Foldnes came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Brufoss IL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Foldnes couldn't finish the play. Brufoss IL played a much better game than FC Caspiy and deserved their victory. The FC Caspiy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
