Galera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vitório Araújo in the 5th minute. A nice corner shot did that Fellipe Favoretto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ciriaco Gaueko quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 7 minutes into the match, E.C. Galera's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Formerio came free, but Tarcisio Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 9 in the game by Deivid de Sousa from a close distance when the talented Ciriaco Gaueko managed to make a qualified save. Estudiantes de La Plata's players were relieved. Tarcisio Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Porfiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute, Dorian Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Gilberto Oxarra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tarcisio Botelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the game, E.C. Galera's Deivid de Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciriaco Gaueko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. During the 29th minute of the match Dorian Ribeiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dorian Ribeiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 30th minute, Dorian Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Formerio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tarcisio Botelho having to make a save. E.C. Galera's Tarcisio Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Formerio in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, E.C. Galera's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Formerio came free, but Tarcisio Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Lago in the 35th minute of play forced Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Ciriaco Gaueko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Jacobo Porfiro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of E.C. Galera's Tarcisio Botelho. Tarcisio Botelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgílio Lago to strike the kick off in the second half. Leandro Formerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Tarcisio Botelho made a huge save. Virgílio Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ciriaco Gaueko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fellipe Favoretto came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the E.C. Galera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fellipe Favoretto couldn't finish the play. If Virgílio Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Estudiantes de La Plata defense, Virgílio Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciriaco Gaueko. The Estudiantes de La Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciriaco Gaueko should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the game, E.C. In the 78th minute Virgílio Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Gaueko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgílio Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Gaueko having to interfere. Ciriaco Gaueko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Virgílio Lago made a precise shot to the right of Ciriaco Gaueko. Estudiantes de La Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Virgílio Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Gaueko having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Virgílio Lago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E.C. Galera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. E.C. Galera were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Estudiantes de La Plata for a fine match.
