Jabaquara SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Blagoy Koritarov ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on MANCHESTER UNITED's corner Blagoy Koritarov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kiko Correia quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doncho Reklyovski in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kiko Correia saved Jabaquara SC from getting behind. Kiko Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doncho Reklyovski's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Doncho Reklyovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes MANCHESTER UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Tzeno Berovski. Boycho Zhilev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Correia having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Mané Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
