The tension between the De Pelgrims and the MANCHESTER UNITED players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Huub Nagel got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Grisha Rakitski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huub Nagel in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huub Nagel in the 14th minute of play forced MANCHESTER UNITED's goalkeeper Grisha Rakitski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Huub Nagel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Pelgrims fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 21st minute, Gerrit van Gaal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. De Pelgrims's Elbert Plescher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doncho Reklyovski in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gerrit van Gaal hit a great ball. De Pelgrims's Elbert Plescher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. MANCHESTER UNITED's Tzeno Berovski got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huub Nagel to maneuver through the defense. Grisha Rakitski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frits Beuneker in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of MANCHESTER UNITED booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit van Gaal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Blagoy Koritarov sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and De Pelgrims's Elbert Plescher didn't even have to move. Mickael Achterberg's late challenge caught a MANCHESTER UNITED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mickael Achterberg helped the player get up and apologised. Elbert Plescher was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Doncho Reklyovski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Doncho Reklyovski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Doncho Reklyovski made a kick off. Mickael Achterberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the game, MANCHESTER UNITED's Doncho Reklyovski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elbert Plescher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When Gerrit van Gaal fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Pelgrims's protests and gave Gerrit van Gaal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Gerrit van Gaal got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, MANCHESTER UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Mickael Achterberg came free, but Grisha Rakitski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jef Savenije had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Huub Nagel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MANCHESTER UNITED's Boycho Zhilev got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The De Pelgrims players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented MANCHESTER UNITED from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
