Francesco Miggiani kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Capivara FC's Ian Triganza threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Glauco Aparecido, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Capivara FC's Glauco Aparecido got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Attard Gunners's Ryan Padovani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lúcio Domingues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Celso Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capivara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attard Gunners the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Capivara FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Sean Bailey walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 31st minute, Glauco Aparecido reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ian Triganza. The goal made the score 1-1. Attard Gunners's Ian Triganza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Pereira in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Luciano Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capivara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ian Triganza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Aparecido in the 42nd minute of play. Angelo Incorvaia's late challenge caught a Capivara FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Incorvaia helped the player get up and apologised. Angelo Incorvaia hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Glauco Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ryan Padovani made the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute Luciano Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Triganza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Attard Gunners's George Xiberras ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lúcio Domingues. Lúcio Domingues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Fabiano Negri's late challenge caught a Attard Gunners's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Negri helped the player get up and apologised. Fabiano Negri hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Attard Gunners's Ian Triganza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Pereira in the 81st minute of play. Ian Triganza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Pereira in the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Capivara FC's Glauco Aparecido got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Capivara FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
